Review: Color Range iPad App

I’m surprised at the volume of photos that I’ve accumulated on my iPad 2 in a short period of time. I play around with different Photo editors all the time tweaking and adjusting my photos. I really enjoy the different effects and filters that are available. I’ve just found a really cool iPad app for image editing, called Color Range 2.0.

I think photo editing on the iPad should be fun and simple to use. If you need to do high-end Photoshop work then save that for your Macbook Pro. The effects that Color Range allows you to create on the touch interface of the iPad are stunning. Color Range is fun and simple to use and achieves much improved images edits over manual brushing. If you are like me you will feel like you just unleashed your inner artist as you enjoy the Color Range app for iPad. (screenshots of app below the break)

Color Range is one of the best iPad apps of its type. Color Range was developed with a HUE image effect that allows you to change the colors and make them really pop with vivid saturation effects. You’ll find yourself immersed in unique and creative image processing that will surprise you when you see your stylish finished images. I really like the real-time preview feature for the effects I’ve just created. The real-time processing feature kept me engaged testing different looks for my final effects.

You should find this iPad app easy to use and simple to navigate. Basically, once you open the Color Range iPad 2 app you’ll import the photos that you want to work with right from your photo roll. Then select a color with the color picker tool and set its level to achieve an effect you want to add to your image. Even though you can achieve high quality results in this app without manual bruising there is a Brush tool for manual editing of specific areas of your image. It’s easy to remove a set color or define levels for several colors by adjusting the six Color Sliders. Color Range uses these sliders to give you full color range to calibrate an exact color edit for your photos. Color Range iPad app also offers the use of brightness and saturation control to obtain even more brilliant color effects.

After you have finished your image edits you’ll immediately want to share them on Facebook, Twitter or by Email with the built-in social integration. The Color Range iPad app is available on the Apple iTunes Store for 99 cents.

Been an iPad user from day one of its release. Apple has been innovative from the beginning and now the rest of the world is getting on board. It's great to be able to spread the word about one of their mobile devices.

I’m a big fan of Color Splash but this app really impressed me. Completely new and cool approach to color effects while they still have an option for manual brushing. Recommend it to everyone.
