China Get Ready for 3G iPad 2 Soon

Looks like Apple is getting much closer to launching the iPad 2 3G in mainland China. This will be the first time the iPad 2 will have cellular network access in mainland China. Apple already sells the 3G iPad 2 in Hong Kong but currently only sells the Wi-Fi versions of the iPad 2 in mainland China.

Apple’s 3G iPad 2 device has not been launched in China but looks to be on it’s way soon to the worlds largest cellular carrier, China Unicom. China Unicom is the only Chinese carrier with a W-CDMA 3G network so one would have to speculate that the 3G iPad 2 will be available for sale soon in China. Apple mobile products are in high demand in China. It is no surprise that Apple’s most trafficked stores are their 4 mainland Chinese stores.

“This has been a substantial opportunity for Apple and I firmly believe that we’re just scratching the surface right now,” “I see an incredible opportunity for Apple there”, said CEO Tim Cook about the Chinese marketplace.

This will be a huge win for Apple to begin selling even more iPad 2 tablets especially since the 3G models have even more profit baked in for Apple.

Been an iPad user from day one of its release. Apple has been innovative from the beginning and now the rest of the world is getting on board. It's great to be able to spread the word about one of their mobile devices.
