Ustream iPad 2 App Arrives

Ustream iPad 2 appUstream, the streaming video service has launched its first iPad 2 app today. If you’re not familiar with Ustream it is a streaming interactive video service platform that allows anyone with a video camera and Internet access to broadcast to the web. I can’t figure out why it took Ustream so long to bring their service to the iPad 2 which is a perfect match. With this Ustream iPad 2 app you’ll not only be able to watch all their top channels but also video stream your own broadcast directly from the Ustream iPad 2 app. Once you start broadcasting from your iPad 2, you can choose to do so with either the front or rear built-in camera and can even switch between your cameras during your live broadcast.

Now you can chat, record and watch live Ustream events directly from this ipad 2 app. The Ustream tribe of broadcasters just grew exponentially with the addition of an iPad 2 audience. Ustream enables live dialogue among participants, Continue reading

Review: Puzzingo iPad 2 App for Children

When my children were toddlers they always enjoyed the old wooden puzzle educational games.  It was refreshing to me and somewhat nostalgic to discover this new iPad 2 app for children called Puzzingo. This iPad 2 app will remind you of those classic wooden puzzles we grew up playing with (pictures above are for those who’ve never seen them). 7SPARX Studio is the developer of children’s educational apps and we think this app is one of the best iPad 2 apps for toddlers we’ve seen this summer. Before loading up the minivan for vacation you may want to download this app for iPad that will keep your kids entertained while on the road. But what we really like about this children’s iPad 2 app is that it is educational too.  (video demo below the break) Continue reading

Review: TouchUp iPad 2 App

With Apple adding both front and rear cameras to the iPad 2 we are all adding more photos into our iPad 2 photo library. TouchUp is an iPad app designed by Roguesheep that is a cool iPad apps photo editor. We found this photo editing app easy to learn and was very fun to use. Basically your using the touch of your finger to tweak and make adjustments to your photos. This photo image editor app comes with dozens of fun photo effects that you’ll get lost in. Touchup iPad app has an endless number of photo layers that expand your editing possibilities.
We really like how with just a touch of your finger your could add an effect or erase it away easily without any worry of losing your original image.
The first step will be to import the image you will work with from your photo gallery (or even from Flickr). We do wish they would add Dropbox integration because not everyone stores all their photos on their iPad 2. Next you can start playing around with the effects menu from the drop down menu. You’ll be able to select brightness, temperature, sepia, contrast, blur, saturation and tint to begin your photo edits. If you make a mistake it’s not a problem as you can use the built in Undo button in Touchup. (demo video below the break) Continue reading
