We found a cool and unique game app for iPad that take the old classic game of chess and modernizes it for the iPad tablet. The name of this iPad app is called 4 Handed Chess developed by Poppysoft Ltd. This game has different play modes that allow you play alone against the game or as teams. It is a fun and nicely designed game with good graphics.
The developer has integrated this iPad app with Game Center so you can play online and strategize with other team members who meet you online. Since the iCloud release by Apple iPad 2 app developers have a whole new set of possible design options. There are thousands of productivity apps on the Apple App Store but not all of them take advantage of cloud syncing. We found a recently released app called Oooloo, developed by Lazy Appz, that is a nice option for syncing all your To do’s, Contacts, Calendars and Text Notes.
We really like the creative user interface and easy tap navigation. The Oooloo iPad app is not your typical productivity app there is some real design thought going on here. For the GTD fans you’ll find the customization options appealing with some really innovative features. In my testing there is only a minimal learning curve to get up and running. I easily got my top category lists set up and all was backed up to the cloud instantly. Continue reading
As we all expected it looks like the next big Apple event will be the released of the iPad 3. According to AllThingsD, which seems to be pretty accurate in revealing Apple’s new media events, is reporting that Apple will hold an event to launch the iPad 3 tablet the week of March 5th.
Sources say the Apple has chosen the first week in March to release the much anticipated successor to the very popular iPad 2 device. This Apple iPad 3 release event will be held in San Francisco, and we’re guessing at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts, Apple’s preferred location for big announcements like these. No word yet on a street date for the iPad 3 , though my guess is retail availability will follow roughly the same schedule as that of the iPad 2: Available for purchase a week or so after the event. When Apple introduced the iPad 2 at it’s media event on March 2, 2011 they began selling the iPad 2 very soon afterward.
The report’s sources also corroborate some of the basic rumors surrounding the device, claiming that it will feature a high-resolution display, enhanced graphics with others saying there will not be a dual processing chip on board this time.
I grew up fascinated with Dinosaurs and no one has watched Jurassic park more than I have. It seems deep down everyone has a connection and fascination with Dinosaurs and especially children. We’ve found a Dinosaur app perfectly suited for the iPad tablet interface that will leave you spellbound revisiting the world of these ancient creatures. This new iPad app is called Inside the World of Dinosaurs from developer M5859 Studios.
This visually pleasing app is wonderfully narrated by Stephen Fry and everything about this iPad app is professionally produced. Inside the World of Dinosaurs iPad app is a comprehensive encyclopedia that is the best iPad app of its kind on the iTunes app store. (screenshots and video demo after the break) Continue reading
