The New iPad 3 available March 16th

Today was the big day for the announcement of the a new iPad 3 release. It comes with a with a stunning new HD display and the ability to connect at high speed over 4G broadband networks.

Apple CEO Tim Cook took the stage Wednesday in San Francisco to demonstrate the new iPad 3 at an invitation-only event. It was for a minute a wave a sadness to be reminded that Steve Jobs was no longer with us.

Tim Cook told the crowd of iPad fans:

“In many ways the iPad is reinventing portable computing, and it’s outstripping the wildest of predictions,”

The iPad 3 will have a high-resolution “retina” display and connect to 4G LTE services that are offered by carriers like AT&T Inc. and Verizon Wireless. The tablet will also have a five megapixel camera. Continue reading

iPad 3 release will have LTE

We are all getting excited about the upcoming iPad 3 release which still seems to be set for March 7th in San Francisco. The iPad 3 is rumored to feature the Apple A6 quad-core processor. This will be a big upgrade if this rumor is true. Everyone expects the improved graphics to include the new Retina display.

The Wall Street Journal is reporting that AT&T and Verizon will carry the iPad 3 which will include LTE capability. It would only seem right for Sprint to also be included as an LTE iPad 3 carrier but the WSJ makes no mention of that. Here is an excerpt from the WSJ yesterday.  Continue reading

Apple iPad 3 Event Week of March 5th

As we all expected it looks like the next big Apple event will be the released of the iPad 3. According to AllThingsD, which seems to be pretty accurate in  revealing Apple’s new media events, is reporting that Apple will hold an event to launch the iPad 3 tablet the week of March 5th.

Sources say the Apple has chosen the first week in March to release the much anticipated successor to the very popular iPad 2 device. This Apple iPad 3 release event will be held in San Francisco, and we’re guessing at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts, Apple’s preferred location for big announcements like these. No word yet on a street date for the iPad 3 , though my guess is retail availability will follow roughly the same schedule as that of the iPad 2: Available for purchase a week or so after the event. When Apple introduced the iPad 2 at it’s media event on March 2, 2011 they began selling the iPad 2 very soon afterward.

The report’s sources also corroborate some of the basic rumors surrounding the device, claiming that it will feature a high-resolution display, enhanced graphics with others saying there will not be a dual processing chip on board this time.

Review: Textkraft

We found a cool text editor app for iPad this week from the German developer Infovole GimbH. This iPad app is called Textkraft and is a smart text processor app that we tested on our iPad 2 device. This best iPad app allows you to transform your iPad into typewriter for on-the-go work. You can compose just about any size of text content from a quick Facebook status update to a large legal document.

Textkraft app for iPad offers users both a complete work solution, as well as a smooth interface for writing quick grammatically correct bursts of text. As I write this blog review I’m using the Textkraft app and it is a joy to use and I especially like the spelling aid that quickly advises me.

The list of outstanding features of Textkraft include:  (screenshots and video demo after break) Continue reading
