Halo Game Creators Release First iPad App Game

Bungie Aerospace, the Halo game dudes, has teamed up with Harebrained Schemes to release a new iPad app game called Crimson: Steam Pirates. As if that news is not exciting enough the game is pretty cool too. This turn-based strategy game brings together the worlds of steampunk and pirates with the tale of Thomas Blood, a steampunk pirate on the high seas.

This iPad app offers eight adventures of the pirate Thomas Blood for free. The in-app purchase for $1.99 gets you the second chapter where the story continues. It’s exciting to be able to get a free game app for iPad of this calibre just to try it out. The gameplay of this app lets you position your fleet of ships for attack and navigate aggressively to attempt to board vessels you want to capture. (video and screenshots after break)

This top iPad app features 16 single player missions that will make up the first two chapters of the Crimson: Steam Pirates saga. This best iPad app offers two unique pass’n’play multiplayer scenarios and supports Bungie.net leaderboards, as well. Nothing is mentioned about a future update with online multiplayer but we hope the developers consider adding that feature. This game app has a lot to keep you immersed with over a dozen ships, 20 unique steam pirates crew members and 8 different voyages. It’s easy to recommend giving this cool iPad app a try especially since it is free on the app store.
